lyrics

(English translation below)

On the roof of the Pink House (a pink little hotel of about ten rooms) in Tiruvannamalai, India, this song was born. I was going there every evening to play a friend´s guitar, watching the sunset and mountain Arunachala with its elephant shape. Many times I had the company of a Indian woman with her daughter, who used to make signs to me showing that she was enjoying the music. We didn´t exchange any words but shared smiles and scenery. Sometimes over our heads, some peacocks were flying from roof to roof to reach certain branches of big trees where they would spend the night. Along with the beloved teachers Kit Walker and Nelson Cedrez, this is the version of Authors Live AGADU.

Why Not?

a new rainbow
other colors I try
skyblue the sun
and pink the sea
the sunflower red
and silver the sky

the earth tastes like coffee
the fog smells like jasmine
frozen is the fire
spicy the laughter
so sweet is the game
and bitter the haste

why not?

may each one believe
whatever one wants to believe
may each one create
whatever one wants to create
